Midnight Manor Private Residence, Monday Evening

A Thanksgiving feast, even when just for two(ish) people, was still a feast, and thus had required both yesterday and today to be properly prepared. Most of the dishes were the same as last year: the main along with the side dishes of vegetables, potatoes, and stuffing. And yes, of course there were dinner rolls.

New this year was a soup and simple garden salad. Dessert was also the same as last year, with apple cake and butter tarts (along with a batch of the non-vegan variety that had been set aside for Marc).

"It looks fantastic," Watts said, surveying everything laid out on the dining room table. "Will you light the candles, then, while I go fetch us a bottle of wine?"

Steven shivered pleasantly. "I can see how that might be an issue, yes."

"Soon," Watts promised. "But first- dessert."

And then dessert.

Steven blushed. He got another forkful of cake and offered it to Llewellyn. His slide was almost gone.

Watts's own slice was greatly diminished as well, even more so when he finished the bite Steven offered him and held out one in return.

Steven took that bite, then snuck a quick kiss before settling in to eat it.

Watts hummed happily at the kiss, and then finished off the last of his butter tart with a satisfied sigh.

"Would you like another?" Steven asked, pointing towards the kitchen. He was grinning though, so the offer wasn't entirely serious. "I could go get some."

Watts gave him a look.

"I do not often turn down food. If I am, it is either because I am ill or I believe there is something better on the menu," he said, that look turning in to a heated one.

Steven blushed. He put his now empty plate back on the coffee table. "Are you turning down food now?"

"You had best believe I am, Steven Grant."

Steven put his hand to Llewellyn's forehead as though checking for fever. He smiled as he asked, to show he wasn't serious. "Are you ill?"

"No," Watts shook his head. "But I should like you to take me to bed all the same."

It took Steven a moment, then he chuckled. "Flirt."

"With you?" Watts said, reaching out to brush a crumb from the corner of Steven's mouth with his thumb. "Yes. Always."

"Funny thing is, I'm not particularly tired," Steven said. He grinned, even as he leaned into Llewellyn's touch. "If we went to bed I don't know that I'd sleep."

"Oh, sleep was not at all what I had in mind," Watts informed him.

"Reading a book?" Steven asked with a grin.

[pocketpretzels]

"Mmm, no," Watts said. "Something a great deal more- active."

"Changing the sheets?" Steven suggested.

Not at first anyway.

[pocketpretzels]

"No," Watts replied. "Well," he amended after a moment. "Quite possibly. But that wasn't the main activity I had in mind."

Steven scooted over so his leg was draped even more onto Llewellyn's lap.

"What then?"

[pocketpretzels]

Watts slid one hand up Steven's thigh. "The sort of activity I do believe we are both thankful for."

[hasaknightjob]

Steven put an arm around Llewellyn's shoulders as he leaned in close. "Is that so? Tell me more."

[pocketpretzels]

"So, first, we shall have to divest ourselves of our clothing," Watts informed him.

"Will we?" Steven asked. He looked Llewellyn over. "I like the sound of that."
