Midnight Manor Private Residence, Monday Evening

A Thanksgiving feast, even when just for two(ish) people, was still a feast, and thus had required both yesterday and today to be properly prepared. Most of the dishes were the same as last year: the main along with the side dishes of vegetables, potatoes, and stuffing. And yes, of course there were dinner rolls.

New this year was a soup and simple garden salad. Dessert was also the same as last year, with apple cake and butter tarts (along with a batch of the non-vegan variety that had been set aside for Marc).

"It looks fantastic," Watts said, surveying everything laid out on the dining room table. "Will you light the candles, then, while I go fetch us a bottle of wine?"

"Love you," Steven murmured against Llewellyn's lips.

"Love you too," Watts sighed happily in response. "My rare one."

"That felt wonderful," Steven said. He nuzzled Llewellyn's cheek.

"Wanted to show you how very thankful I am to have you in my life," Watts told him.

That got a soft chuckle out of Steven. "I feel very appreciated. Thank you."

"As well you should," Watts said. "Feel appreciated, that is. Because I do, a great deal."

Steven caressed Llewellyn's cheek with his fingertips. "I feel cherished and loved, actually."

Watts closed his eyes, enjoying the touch. "I love you so much I ache with it," he said.

Perhaps Llewellyn could hear the shy grin in Steven's voice even if he couldn't see it. "I could help with some of that?"

A soft chuckle. "Hmmm. Could you now?" Watts asked playfully.

"At least one?" Steven said. He started to slowly move one hand down from Llewellyn's cheek, to his neck, to his chest.

"Who would I be to refuse such an offer?" Watts grinned back at Steven.

[hasaknightjob]

"There is one problem though," Steven pointed out. He lightly tugged on Llewellyn's undershirt. "Things are in the way."

"Ah, yes," Watts agreed. "Perhaps you could help me with that as well?" he asked.

Steven started to tug at Llewellyn's waistcoat to help get it off. "Would get you out of your clothes faster."

Unless they got distracted of course.

What were the odds of that happening?

While Steven busied himself with Watts's upper layers, Watts unclipped his suspenders so he could shimmy out of his trousers.

Steven started to look downward. Then he shook his head and muttered "No, no, shirt first" to remind himself to stay on track.

Which got a chuckle out of Watts. Not at all mocking, just... soft and fond.

"Not my fault you're so bloody handsome," Steven told him, not really complaining. He tried to get Llewellyn's waistcoat and shirt off in one go since they were both unbuttoned.

"Mmm, you did choose me, though," Watts pointed out, sliding his arms out of his shirt.

Steven paused again to run his hands along Llewellyn's newly bare arms. "I've good taste then."

"Certainly worked out well on my end," Watts agreed, enjoying the touch.

[hasaknightjob]

"Right, getting distracted," Steven said. He moved Llewellyn's shirt and waistcoat to the side, then grasped the hem of Llewellyn's undershirt. "Off. Off with you."

"If only it were so easy as ordering my clothing to be gone," Watts said, taking hold of the shirt once Steven had lifted it and pulling it over his head.

"I keep trying," Steven said. "Perhaps it will work one day."

Then he was distracted once again by the view of Llewellyn. He trailed his fingertips slowly down Llewellyn's chest, admiring the bare skin.
