A Cabin in South Tyrol, Italy, Friday Evening

A day spent indoors had been followed by one where Watts and Steven had visited the nearby town for lunch, as well as a bit of shopping (wine, of course, and a souvenir for Raphael, among other things), and then today?

Well, it had started with a lie-in, followed by French toast for a late (very late) breakfast, and then there had been a knock at the door with some flower deliveries - truly impressive, really, how the Student Council had known to deliver them here despite neither Steven nor Watts providing anyone explicit details regarding their destination.

There had been at least one other delivery as well, thankfully when Steven had been occupied in a manner that meant he hadn't seen who was at the door, which allowed Watts to stash said delivery in the sleeping area with one of his suit jackets to cover it.

And that wasn't even the last of it! Dinner had been dropped off from a not-quite-local restaurant, and having just poured their wine glasses, Watts pulled out Steven's chair with a flourish. "Here we are," he declared.

Steven gave Llewellyn a kiss on the cheek for the thanks.

"You care so much about my happiness," Steven said. "About me finding things I like. Means a great deal to me."

"Well, I love you," Watts said. "And it's- it means a great deal. That you trust me to be beside you for that journey."

"It's exciting, isn't it?" Steven said with a smile. "To have found another one?"

"That it is," Watts said, and now it was his turn to lean over and offer Steven a kiss on the cheek. "Another way for us to make memories together."

Activities like ice skating in theory being the sort of thing he could do with other friends while not in Watts's company. Staying in a cabin, however, was clearly an activity meant for them to share.

"That's a poetic way to put it," Steven said, once more looking at him fondly. "Any wonder you're my Valentine?"

"A wonderful thing indeed, being your Valentine," Watts replied. Which wasn't quite what Steven had said, but details.

"I know it's all a bit of fun," Steven said. "The holiday. But I still like that I have a Valentine. Someone to buy a bouquet for. Flowers or otherwise."

"Oh, I agree," Watts said. "Even as I would buy you flowers any day of the week. But there's something special about doing so today."

"I love your flower surprises," Steven said. "At the museum? They always make me smile."

"That is my intent," Watts said with a fond smile. "I do so adore your smile."

"Should I send you pictures of me, then?" Steven asked. "When I get them? Smiling?"

"I would like that." Watts agreed. "If it's not too much trouble?"

"I'll do my best to remember," Steven said, since forgetting was a possibility and he wanted to be honest. "Could you remind me if I forget?"

"You do usually send me a photograph of the bouquet," Watts said. "If that is not accompanied by a selfie then I shall remember to request one."

"Thank you," Steven said. He reached over to give Llewellyn's hand a squeeze. "It's nice that you care. That you want pictures of me."

"You are the love of my life," Watts said. "Of course I want photographs of you."

"You think I'm handsome," Steven pointed out. "I like that."

"I find you exceptionally handsome," Watts reminded him, touching one of Steven's cheeks and then the other.

"Thank you," Steven said. "It's part of why you're wonderful. You find value in me."

"I could say the same of you," Watts pointed out.

"You're very valuable to me," Steven said. He brought Llewellyn's hand up for a kiss. "One of the most important people in my life."

"Lucky me," Watts replied, smiling at that kiss.

The fact that it could go without saying that the other person was Marc meant so much to Steven. He kissed Llewellyn's hand again in appreciation of it.

"You've enjoyed all this so far?" Steven asked. "Our getaway?"

As far as people Steven didn't share a body with, Watts had no doubts about his place at the top of his priority list, and that was what mattered to him.

"Immensely," Watts said. "It's been a nice- change of pace. Different too from our usual holidays, without much of an itinerary."

"I liked that as well," Steven said. "Not - I like itineraries. But they make more sense when we're somewhere with things we're trying to do in a set amount of time. Here, where the main goal is various ways to enjoy the outdoors, it's nice to be more laid back. Doesn't matter if we snowshoe morning or afternoon, that sort of thing."
