A Cabin in South Tyrol, Italy, Friday Evening

A day spent indoors had been followed by one where Watts and Steven had visited the nearby town for lunch, as well as a bit of shopping (wine, of course, and a souvenir for Raphael, among other things), and then today?

Well, it had started with a lie-in, followed by French toast for a late (very late) breakfast, and then there had been a knock at the door with some flower deliveries - truly impressive, really, how the Student Council had known to deliver them here despite neither Steven nor Watts providing anyone explicit details regarding their destination.

There had been at least one other delivery as well, thankfully when Steven had been occupied in a manner that meant he hadn't seen who was at the door, which allowed Watts to stash said delivery in the sleeping area with one of his suit jackets to cover it.

And that wasn't even the last of it! Dinner had been dropped off from a not-quite-local restaurant, and having just poured their wine glasses, Watts pulled out Steven's chair with a flourish. "Here we are," he declared.

"I thought we would trade off, yes" Steven said. Then he smiled, because there he was stating preferences.

"Excellent," Watts said, smiling back now that that was clarified.

"You first," Steven said, having forgotten that Llewellyn had only been going so far. In Steven's defense, it had looked nice and he'd gotten distracted.

Regardless, he offered Llewellyn a forkful.

There were also appreciative noises happening! Like right now, again.

Steven watched him avidly. Hungrily, one might even say.

And once he was finished, Watts met Steven's gaze- briefly-, his lips curving up into a smile before he held out a forkful for Steven to take.

Steven smiled wider, recognizing the gesture for the gift it was. Then he leaned forward to finally take a bite of the cake. He was so focused on Llewellyn it took a moment for him to register the taste, but then he smiled and nodded with approval when he did.

"It's good, isn't it?" Watts asked.

Steven absentmindedly licked his lips. "Very! Good choice, you."

And, yeah, now Watts's gaze was fixed on those same lips. "I think the restaurant deserves most of the credit there."

"We could send them a thank you?" Steven suggested.

[pocketpretzels]

"Is that sort of thing usually done?" Watts asked.

[hasaknightjob]

"I don't know," Steven admitted. "But it can't hurt, can it? To say thank you?"

"That's a good point," Watts said. "Though if we're to write it, it would be in English, as I would ask you to do so." Steven's handwriting being far nicer than Watts's own, after all.

"And here I was thinking it'd need to be in Italian, so I'd need your help," Steven said. "Perhaps you could dictate and I'd write?"

Since Steven did understand the issue with the handwriting.

"German might go over better, if we're to do that," Watts pointed out. Though the solution of Watts dictating while Steven wrote was still the same.

"I trust your judgement," Steven said. He offered Llewellyn a forkful of cake. "I'll figure out what it should say, you translate, I'll write it down."

"Working together," Watts beamed at him. "I like that," he declared, before leaning forward to take that offered bite.

"As partners do," Steven said, beaming back.

[pocketpretzels]

"Precisely," Watts said, offering Steven another bite.

Steven took the bite, allowing himself to savor it since he'd been enjoying watching Llewellyn savor his. It seemed fair to guess perhaps Llewellyn might enjoy the same view in return.

He most certainly did, watching Steven intently as he enjoyed that bite.

Steven caught the look and blushed, but not unhappily so. "Nice?"

"Nice," Watts affirmed, desire evident in his tone.

"Thank you." Steven offered Llewellyn another forkful. "You are as well. Handsome."
