The Flat in London, Saturday Afternoon

Watts had Steven had barely unpacked from their trip to Quebec when there had been a call regarding a minor but urgent issue regarding some legal paperwork back in London. So- back into suitcases clothing went, only this time-

This time in addition to Marc also packing some things as he'd be needed for aforementioned legal paperwork business, they were bringing Raphael with them. Both because they felt a little badly about leaving the cat again so soon and they'd talked about possibly giving him an opportunity to explore the flat in London. See how he liked it, that sort of thing.

Now it was Saturday afternoon, the legal business had all been taken care of, and they were lingering before catching a portal back to Fandom tomorrow. Lingering in the kitchen specifically, with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.

Steven glanced in that direction as well, then took advantage of how he had to contort to see around the bookshelves to sneak a kiss on Llewellyn's cheek.

With a smirk, Watts turned his head to then give Steven a proper kiss before they resumed with the dough mixing.

Steven made a happy sound before he resumed his stirring. "These will taste wonderful. Loads of love."

"The only proper way to go about it," Watts agreed, moving to stand behind Steven again so he could wrap his arms around him once more.

Steven leaned back as he stirred. He took a look at the results, then said, "I think that's got it? Add the chips now?"

Watts rested his chin on Steven's shoulder as he peered at the bowl. "Perfect," he declared.

"Thank you, but I was asking about the dough," Steven said.

His grin was very proud.

"Cheeky," Watts declared fondly. "The dough's perfect as well."

[hasaknightjob]

"You add the chips and I'll fold them in then?" Steven suggested.

[pocketpretzels]

"I suppose that's a fair division of labour, even if it does mean letting go of you," Watts sighed.

"My thought was then you'd come back," Steven explained. He mimed pouring chips into the bowl. "See? Only need one hand for that. Could hold me with the other."

"Ah, I like your thinking," Watts said. He unwrapped himself from Steven, left hand sliding a little lower and coming to rest on Steven's backside, which he gave a little pat as he grabbed the chips with his right and poured them in, making sure to add just a little more than was strictly called for.

"Cheeky," Steven said, since that was true in more ways than one. He flashed Llewellyn a grin, then folded the chips into the dough. "There. Think that will suffice. What say you?"

"Looks grand," Watts said, reaching for the baking sheet.

[hasaknightjob]

"Much like yourself," Steven told him.

[pocketpretzels]

"Flirt," Watts replied, though he did follow that up with a "Thank you."

Which naturally earned Llewellyn a kiss. Though a quick one. They couldn't get too distracted yet.

Not until the cookies were in the oven (and the timer set), at least. Though Watts did linger for a moment or two before pulling away to start divvying up the dough on the sheet.

Steven wasn't sure how he could help without being in the way, so instead he switched their positions so that he was behind Llewellyn and held on to him while he worked.

They could've both worked on rolling the dough into balls! But this was nice too, Watts had to admit.

"Oven door, please?" he requested, once they were all laid out.

This way Steven got to feel Llewellyn's muscles move while he held him. Vastly superior in Steven's opinion.

But fair was fair so he did let go so he could open the oven door. "Here we are then."

Watts slid the cookie sheet into the oven, set the timer, and then twirled around and pulled Steven in to his arms. "Now, I believe promises were made regarding a dance?"

Was there music? No. Did that matter? Also no.

"Firm promises," Steven said. He moved his hands into dancing position. "Ones I intend to keep."

"That's good," Watts said, as he began leading Steven in a simple waltz around the small space. "Or I'd feel quite awkward."

"Luckily I had an excellent dance instructor," Steven said. He danced closer to Llewellyn than proper form would require. Because of the small essay of the space, of course. "Helps make my dancing much less awkward, I think."
