The Flat in London, Saturday Afternoon

Watts had Steven had barely unpacked from their trip to Quebec when there had been a call regarding a minor but urgent issue regarding some legal paperwork back in London. So- back into suitcases clothing went, only this time-

This time in addition to Marc also packing some things as he'd be needed for aforementioned legal paperwork business, they were bringing Raphael with them. Both because they felt a little badly about leaving the cat again so soon and they'd talked about possibly giving him an opportunity to explore the flat in London. See how he liked it, that sort of thing.

Now it was Saturday afternoon, the legal business had all been taken care of, and they were lingering before catching a portal back to Fandom tomorrow. Lingering in the kitchen specifically, with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.

Which got an absolutely besotted smile out of Watts as they continued dancing.

Steven missed the smile as he was concentrating on dancing and enjoying the feeling of Llewellyn beside him. Also his eyes were closed. But he kept humming since he was happy.

"I love you," Watts said, full of feeling. "So very much."

"I love you too." Steven looked up at Llewellyn. His smile grew when he saw Llewellyn's expression. "I love we can do things like this together."

"Dancing?" Watts asked. "Or baking?"

Or both.

[hasaknightjob]

"Yes," Steven replied, because the answer was both. "Having these moments together at home. All sorts of things I would have liked but couldn't imagine."

"The extraordinary ordinary," Watts agreed, reaching with one hand to brush his fingers across Steven's cheek. "And now we have that. For the rest of our lives."

Steven leaned into the touch. "You make it even better. Cooking I would have thought of. Dancing along wit it? That was you."

"What better way to pass the time than an activity where we can hold each other close?" Watts asked.

"You're right," Steven said. He grinned up at him. "I always felt you were highly intelligent."

"Thank you," Watts said. "I do believe like calls to like, there."

[hasaknightjob]

"Don't have to call you when you're right here," Steven said with a grin.

That took Watts a moment, and then he shook his head. "I do also believe you are a scoundrel, Steven Grant."

Steven looked proud. "Your scoundrel, Llewellyn Watts."

"You'd best believe it," Watts said firmly. "All mine."

[hasaknightjob]

"All yours," Steven agreed. He tilted his head up to kiss Llewellyn.

"As I am yours," Watts murmured against Steven's lips.

[hasaknightjob]

"My dance partner," Steven said.

He may have had some lingering thoughts about Llewellyn at the party without him.

"No one else can match me step by step as you do," Watts said.

Which might not have been literally true when Steven first started learning, but it certainly was now.

"In dancing as in life?" Steven suggested.

[pocketpretzels]

"Precisely so," Watts said, because he had meant it metaphorically as well.

[hasaknightjob]

"I like that," Steven said. He leaned in so they could be cheek to cheek. "Even though we have our own interests and things to do, in the end we're still together."

[pocketpretzels]

"I treasure every minute I have with you," Watts said. "But- I don't need to be with you every minute. Because you are in my heart, always."

[hasaknightjob]

"Precisely," Steven said. "As long as I have your heart, that's what matters. I love you, you love me, no one else will do."

"I'm rather spoiled in that regard," Watts grinned at him.
