The Flat in London, Saturday Afternoon

Watts had Steven had barely unpacked from their trip to Quebec when there had been a call regarding a minor but urgent issue regarding some legal paperwork back in London. So- back into suitcases clothing went, only this time-

This time in addition to Marc also packing some things as he'd be needed for aforementioned legal paperwork business, they were bringing Raphael with them. Both because they felt a little badly about leaving the cat again so soon and they'd talked about possibly giving him an opportunity to explore the flat in London. See how he liked it, that sort of thing.

Now it was Saturday afternoon, the legal business had all been taken care of, and they were lingering before catching a portal back to Fandom tomorrow. Lingering in the kitchen specifically, with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.

"Much like yourself," Steven told him.

"Flirt," Watts replied, though he did follow that up with a "Thank you."

Which naturally earned Llewellyn a kiss. Though a quick one. They couldn't get too distracted yet.

Not until the cookies were in the oven (and the timer set), at least. Though Watts did linger for a moment or two before pulling away to start divvying up the dough on the sheet.

Steven wasn't sure how he could help without being in the way, so instead he switched their positions so that he was behind Llewellyn and held on to him while he worked.

They could've both worked on rolling the dough into balls! But this was nice too, Watts had to admit.

"Oven door, please?" he requested, once they were all laid out.

This way Steven got to feel Llewellyn's muscles move while he held him. Vastly superior in Steven's opinion.

But fair was fair so he did let go so he could open the oven door. "Here we are then."

Watts slid the cookie sheet into the oven, set the timer, and then twirled around and pulled Steven in to his arms. "Now, I believe promises were made regarding a dance?"

Was there music? No. Did that matter? Also no.

"Firm promises," Steven said. He moved his hands into dancing position. "Ones I intend to keep."

"That's good," Watts said, as he began leading Steven in a simple waltz around the small space. "Or I'd feel quite awkward."

"Luckily I had an excellent dance instructor," Steven said. He danced closer to Llewellyn than proper form would require. Because of the small essay of the space, of course. "Helps make my dancing much less awkward, I think."

"You were a wonderful student," Watts told him. "Eager and quick to learn."

[hasaknightjob]

"You were a wonderful teacher," Steven replied. "Patient and good at explanations."

They danced a step before Steven remembered, "Right, bugger, thank you."

"You're very welcome, darling," Watts said, leaning in to kiss him.

Steven kissed back, doing his best to try that at the same time as dancing.

Watts was all too happy to help facilitate that, slowing their movements to something a little easier to kiss along with.

Steven sighed happily at the kiss and adjustment of movement. That then turned into him softly humming a song. Nothing in particular, just sounded like a waltz.

Which got an absolutely besotted smile out of Watts as they continued dancing.

Steven missed the smile as he was concentrating on dancing and enjoying the feeling of Llewellyn beside him. Also his eyes were closed. But he kept humming since he was happy.

"I love you," Watts said, full of feeling. "So very much."

[hasaknightjob]

"I love you too." Steven looked up at Llewellyn. His smile grew when he saw Llewellyn's expression. "I love we can do things like this together."

[pocketpretzels]

"Dancing?" Watts asked. "Or baking?"

Or both.

[hasaknightjob]

"Yes," Steven replied, because the answer was both. "Having these moments together at home. All sorts of things I would have liked but couldn't imagine."

[pocketpretzels]

"The extraordinary ordinary," Watts agreed, reaching with one hand to brush his fingers across Steven's cheek. "And now we have that. For the rest of our lives."

Steven leaned into the touch. "You make it even better. Cooking I would have thought of. Dancing along wit it? That was you."
