The Flat in London, Saturday Afternoon

Watts had Steven had barely unpacked from their trip to Quebec when there had been a call regarding a minor but urgent issue regarding some legal paperwork back in London. So- back into suitcases clothing went, only this time-

This time in addition to Marc also packing some things as he'd be needed for aforementioned legal paperwork business, they were bringing Raphael with them. Both because they felt a little badly about leaving the cat again so soon and they'd talked about possibly giving him an opportunity to explore the flat in London. See how he liked it, that sort of thing.

Now it was Saturday afternoon, the legal business had all been taken care of, and they were lingering before catching a portal back to Fandom tomorrow. Lingering in the kitchen specifically, with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.

"It's true, too," Watts said, still looking pleased.

"Thank you," Steven said, when he managed to speak again. "I like that you do. Means a great deal to me."

"You're very welcome," Watts said. "It's an honour that you share them with me."

"It means a great deal that you like them," Steven said. He looked thoughtful. "I suppose it's like your music, isn't it? When you play for me and I get to enjoy it. I can be your biggest fan."

"I suppose it is, somewhat," Watts nodded. "Though I am reproducing the work of others, not composing my own pieces."

"Still your hard work," Steven said. "Learning how to do it. Your personality's in it as well, even if someone else wrote it."

"That's true, isn't it?" Watts agreed.

[hasaknightjob]

"I love watching you," Steven said, warming up to the topic now. "Seeing you concentrate. Seeing how proud you are when you get it right."

"Oh," Watts said, suddenly shy. "I knew you enjoyed it. I didn't realize how much."

[hasaknightjob]

"You put your heart into it," Steven said. "I like your heart very much."

[pocketpretzels]

"I- thank you, Steven Grant," Watts managed.

[hasaknightjob]

"You're welcome, Llewellyn Watts," Steven replied. "Thank you for trusting me to watch you. I know it can be difficult. Not being certain it'll come out the way you like, that the other person will enjoy it. Even if the other person is me."

"That I know you won't coddle me actually does help," Watts said. "I can trust when you say you enjoyed it that you are being truthful and not just attempting to spare my feelings."

"We promise to be truthful," Steven said. "Big things and small. Helps us trust one another."

Watts nodded. "I'd much rather you were honest and told me you didn't enjoy something I played, than to find out later you had lied to me. As you say, it is about trust. And I know I can do so implicitly when it comes to you."

"Likewise me to you," Steven said. "You never leave me at a loss for what's real. You tell me what you mean. No guessing. It's a great comfort."

Watts pulled Steven in closer for a moment. "Good. I'm glad. And you know if my honesty is ever- if I say something hurtful in the course of telling the truth- it is not my intent to hurt."

[hasaknightjob]

Steven held Llewellyn tighter. "I know. Same to you in return. I never intend to hurt you. I hate when I do it by accident."

"And that makes it easier to move past the hurt," Watts pointed out. "Knowing it was not intended as such."

[hasaknightjob]

"Yes," Steven said. "Though I still don't care for it happening. I never like when you're hurt."

"Nor I you," Watts affirmed. "I treasure that heart of yours."

[hasaknightjob]

"Poet," Steven said. He leaned up to give Llewellyn a kiss.

"Mmm," Watts hummed. "Your poet."

[hasaknightjob]

Steven held Llewellyn closer. "All mine."

"Now and always," Watts agreed.
