The Flat in London, Saturday Afternoon

Watts had Steven had barely unpacked from their trip to Quebec when there had been a call regarding a minor but urgent issue regarding some legal paperwork back in London. So- back into suitcases clothing went, only this time-

This time in addition to Marc also packing some things as he'd be needed for aforementioned legal paperwork business, they were bringing Raphael with them. Both because they felt a little badly about leaving the cat again so soon and they'd talked about possibly giving him an opportunity to explore the flat in London. See how he liked it, that sort of thing.

Now it was Saturday afternoon, the legal business had all been taken care of, and they were lingering before catching a portal back to Fandom tomorrow. Lingering in the kitchen specifically, with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.

"My dance partner," Steven said.

He may have had some lingering thoughts about Llewellyn at the party without him.

"No one else can match me step by step as you do," Watts said.

Which might not have been literally true when Steven first started learning, but it certainly was now.

"In dancing as in life?" Steven suggested.

"Precisely so," Watts said, because he had meant it metaphorically as well.

"I like that," Steven said. He leaned in so they could be cheek to cheek. "Even though we have our own interests and things to do, in the end we're still together."

"I treasure every minute I have with you," Watts said. "But- I don't need to be with you every minute. Because you are in my heart, always."

"Precisely," Steven said. "As long as I have your heart, that's what matters. I love you, you love me, no one else will do."

"I'm rather spoiled in that regard," Watts grinned at him.

[hasaknightjob]

"Thank you," Steven said. "I'm spoiled that you consider that spoiled. It's nice to be thought of so highly."

"Of course I think highly of you. You are the love of my life, after all," Watts said.

"Tell you a secret?" Steven said. He leaned in close so he could whisper. "You're the love of mine."

"Works out nicely, doesn't that?" Watts said, smiling at Steven.

[hasaknightjob]

"For us both," Steven agreed. "The man I love with all my heart loves me in return."

"Come here," Watts said, tilting his head down for a kiss.

[hasaknightjob]

"Don't mind if I do," Steven said, closing the distance for that kiss.

"Good," Watts said, kissing him soundly.

In a stunning example of timing, as that kiss wrapped up, the buzzer on the oven went off.

"A pause on our dance," Steven said. "Long enough to take care of the biscuits."

[pocketpretzels]

"One more spin around the dance floor should hopefully give them adequate time to cool," Watts said, as he took the tray out. "And then we can have ourselves a treat."

"Wait," Steven said, before they could start dancing again. "Let's get the kettle on as well. We can have tea."

"Excellent idea," Watts said, pleased.

Steven gave Llewellyn a quick kiss on the cheek, then got the kettle ready. "We could sit on the - "

Steven looked towards the couch and realized it was not really an option given all the books that were on it. " - er, bed?"

Watts would've just swept all the books to the floor, but he didn't want to upset Steven's filing system.

"If you don't think we'll disturb the little man," he said, as Raphael was still curled up in the middle of said bed.

"Could sit on the edge?" Steven suggested. "Or there's chairs?"

"We'll try the edge, I think," Watts said, giving it some thought. "Carefully."

Though if the cat woke up and demanded attention, so long as he didn't try and sneak off with a cookie, that would be perfectly all right.

If there had to be snuggling of a kitty to make amends for the lack of biscuits given to kitties, Steven was prepared to make the sacrifice.

"I think we'll have enough room," Steven said. He filled the kettle with water and set it to heat up. Then he turned to Llewellyn and held his arms out. "Another go?"
