After their usual jaunt over to the mainland, Watts had headed to the kitchen to do a bit of baking, and then to the library for some piano practice.

And as he'd told Steven the other day at lunch, he was close to mastering the piece he was currently working on. Maddeningly close, in fact. So absorbed was he in getting to the point where he could play it through without a stumble that he did not notice as the hour ticked over past that where he usually stopped for the evening so he and Steven could have dinner together. Instead, he kept playing, and playing, single-minded in his determination to finally master the piece.

"As I do you by you," Watts said. "I only- I wish that- I had not lost control like that," he said, now more embarrassed than anything else.

Steven looked at him curiously. "Why?"

Aside from generally disliking not being in control of himself?

"We were having a pleasant evening," he told Steven's shoulder.

"Your troubles are my own," Steven reminded him. "And it was good tears besides, you said."

"They were," Watts said. "But-" they'd still left him feeling a little wrung-out in the way that tears brought on by, say, excessive laughter, would not.

"You're still feeling vulnerable?" Steven guessed.

"Mmm," Watts hummed in assent to Steven's statement.

Steven hugged him tighter. "It's all right. I've got you."

"You always do, my Gentleman Knight," Watts said.

"Have to take good care of my dearest prince, don't I?" Steven replied.

"You're so good to me, always," Watts sighed.

"I love you," Steven said. He rubbed Llewellyn's back as he hugged him. "You've my whole heart, and as much of my love as you need whenever you need it."

"It is a good thing that is not a finite resource," Watts said.

"Infinite," Steven said. "No limits whatsoever, far as you're concerned."

Which had Watts twisting around so that he could kiss Steven, slow and gentle and yet with an undercurrent of need.

Steven kissed back, cupping Llewellyn's cheek to hold him close as he did.

"I love you," Watts sighed. "So much that my heart aches with it."

"Good thing I have your heart," Steven said. "So I can keep it safe and cared for with all that aching."

"Very well cared for," Watts agreed, leaning in for another soft kiss. "There's none like you, my rare one."

"Thank you," Steven said, kissing Llewellyn back. "No one takes care of me like you either, love. My heart's yours because of that."

"A treasure I hold above all else," Watts replied.

"Even if others wouldn't think it so," Steven said, looking at Llewellyn with a great deal of love in his eyes. "You find value in me."

"A fool I may be, but anyone who does not see your wonderful, beautiful heart for what it is is- ignorant to a degree I cannot fathom," Watts told him.

Steven gave Llewellyn another soft kiss. "My foolish Llew. Who makes me feel treasured."

"As you ought to be," Watts told him. "You deserve love and care."
