Midnight Manor Private Residence, Saturday Evening

After their usual jaunt over to the mainland, Watts had headed to the kitchen to do a bit of baking, and then to the library for some piano practice.

And as he'd told Steven the other day at lunch, he was close to mastering the piece he was currently working on. Maddeningly close, in fact. So absorbed was he in getting to the point where he could play it through without a stumble that he did not notice as the hour ticked over past that where he usually stopped for the evening so he and Steven could have dinner together. Instead, he kept playing, and playing, single-minded in his determination to finally master the piece.

"Oh!" Steven looked embarrassed. "Er. Right. I'll - erm - move then."

"Thank you, darling," Watts said gratefully, leaning in to kiss him gently. "For indulging me in this."

"I did wonder how it was going to be comfortable this way," Steven admitted sheepishly. He moved, trying to do so carefully as he got behind Llewellyn. "Like this?"

"There we go," Watts said, nestling in against him and lifting one leg to rest it between Steven's. "Are you still- or do you require the lubricant again?" he checked.

"I think I can manage it," Steven said. "I'll let you know."

"All right," Watts said, turning his head around to smile at Steven.

Steven did what he could to get settled with no space between them. "How's that then?"

Watts let out a contented sigh. "Perfect," he declared. "Perhaps it is strange," he said after a moment. "But I enjoy- feeling you there. Even though we are not doing anything."

Steven put his arm around Llewellyn's waist as he cuddled close. "It's all right. I like being close to you."

"Thank you," Watts said again. "For- everything tonight. Understanding."

Steven kissed Llewellyn's shoulder. "I love you. It's no hardship at all."

"Because you have such a wonderful heart," Watts said.

"Thank you," Steven said. "You're a wonderful person to give my heart to."

"Thank you," Watts said. "Not- not many have thought so."

"Their loss, my gain," Steven said. "It's as easy as that."

"That is- how I feel about you, you know," Watts told him. "It astounds me that there are those who could not see you for the treasure you are. And yet, selfishly, I am glad that circumstance brought you to me."

As close as they were, Llewellyn could probably feel the blush on Steven's cheeks. "Thank you. Means a great deal to me that you find me so. All of me. Good and... difficult."

"Your troubles are my own," Watts reminded him.

"And yours are mine," Steven said. Not deflecting, answering in turn. "I love the whole package of you. No parts left out."

"No parts, hm?" Watts asked, smile evident in his voice.

Steven held him tighter. "None left out. I want all of you, Llewellyn Watts. Every bit."

"And you have me, Steven Grant. Every inch of me."

Steven sighed contentedly. "I like that. Having someone of my own."

"Now and always," Watts added, bringing the hand Steven had put around his waist up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to the back of Steven's hand.

"Now and always," Steven said, pressing a kiss to Llewellyn's shoulder.
