pocketpretzels: (curious)
As promised, Steven had woken Watts up early that morning just before it was time for Marc to leave. As much as he hated early mornings, he hated waking up to an empty bed after having gone to sleep with Steven the night before, so it was the lesser of two evils. He even behaved himself and didn't attempt to convince Steven to linger at all.

He'd drifted back to sleep for a bit, but honestly it just wasn't the same on his own, so he figured he might as well get up for the day. After he got dressed, he headed over towards the kitchen area where there was a set of keys on the table along with a note listing some of Steven's favourite spots for a quick breakfast.

Watts pocketed the keys, grabbed his hat, and headed out. After picking up some breakfast, he took a quick stroll around, no real destination in mind, and that was when he passed by the storefront for a small bakery and sudden inspiration hit. He had enough time, so why not? Circling back to the apartment, he headed up to take a quick inventory of what he might need (which was basically everything), and then it was back down to a grocery he'd spotted on his walk.

The long and the short of it was, by the time Marc was finished meeting with his lawyer and thus Steven would be on his way back, there was an apple pie cooling on the counter and Watts was curled up half-dozing with a poetry book in the corner of the couch that happened to be book-free.

[ooc: for that guy, NFB for distance.]
