 As was tradition, Watts and Steven had arrived at their hotel room yesterday and indulged in the strawberries and champagne that Watts had arranged to be there. Earlier today there had been snowshoeing and skating, and now they were changing out of outdoor clothes and in to something more appropriate for dinner, even if that dinner was just in their hotel room (also tradition).

"The clouds look like they've cleared some," Watts noted, peering out the window. "Perhaps we will get to see the Northern Lights after all."

Steven looked back, trying to let his emotions show as much as possible. "In and out, up and down. Every possible way."

It wasn't midnight quite yet, but Watts couldn't resist leaning in to kiss Steven then, fiercely, passionately, with everything he had.

Steven kissed back, hanging on to Llewellyn as tightly as he could.

"I love you," Watts murmured in the breath between kisses. "I love you."

"I love you," Steven murmured back in kind. Though he still had the song in his head, so he said it to the music notes without thinking about it.

Well, now Watts was laughing into the kiss, clearly pleased by this turn of events.

"You make me happy," Steven told him. "I can't help it."

[pocketpretzels]

"I like it," Watts told him.

Did he mean the singing, or making Steven happy?

(The answer was, of course, 'both'.)

"Shame there's no piano," Steven said. "You could play and I could sing."

Not that Steven considered himself a good singer, but it was the thought that counted, right?

"We could go down to the lobby," Watts said, teasing. "I believe I saw a piano there."

Steven held Llewellyn tighter. "Perhaps tomorrow. I'm enjoying having you all to myself right now."

There was also the fact that Watts had never played anything in public, and so the likelihood of following through was a small one.

"Tonight is just for us," he agreed.

"Just you, me, and the sky," Steven said.

Then, because he worried, "Or the fire inside if you get too cold."

"Always my Gentleman Knight," Watts said fondly. "We'll go inside after the clock strikes midnight?" he suggested.

Steven gave Llewellyn an appropriately warm look. "And find all sorts of ways to get rid of the chill?"

"Precisely," Watts replied.

[hasaknightjob]

"I've a few thoughts on that topic," Steven said. He then tilted his head up to give Llewellyn a kiss.

"Is that so?" Watts asked. "Care to share them with me?"

[hasaknightjob]

"That was one of them," Steven admitted. "The kissing. Did you like it?"

"Hmmm," Watt said. "I think so? But we'd best have another, just so I can be sure."

"I appreciate your dedication to proper scientific inquiry," Steven told him. He then leaned in for another, longer kiss.

[pocketpretzels]

"Yes," Watts said, when they finally came up for air. "I did like it. Very much so."

"Feeling warmer?" Steven asked, his voice husky.

[pocketpretzels]

"Can't you tell?" Watts asked, pressing in nice and close.

[hasaknightjob]

"Feeling something," Steven managed, though he was blushing.
