Watts and Steven had arrived at their hotel early yesterday evening, and after a nice dinner had gotten settled in their room.

Today being their anniversary, it had started, of course, with a lie-in. Followed by breakfast delivered to the room and eaten in bed. The day itself had been spent enjoying the infinity pool and the spectacular view of the Aegean sea, along with plenty of lounging around.

Speaking of that view, Watts had arranged for dinner to be delivered to the room so they could eat outside as the sun set.

"It is, it is," Watts acknowledged, pulling Steven in for yet another giddy kiss. "I love you so very much."

"I love you," Steven replied in kind. "Thank you for this. For understanding. For saying yes."

"Of course," Watts said. "I am glad you were inspired to find a way to make this happen."

"Good surprise?" Steven asked, just to be sure. "It is changing our holiday plans a great deal."

"Good surprise," Watts affirmed. "The kind I can- what is the saying? Roll with?"

"Anything we don't get to from our first plan we can always come back," Steven said.

Then he grinned, giddily, as he realized. "Come back to where we were married."

Watts beamed back at him. "Hmm," he said thoughtfully. "On a related note- perhaps I ought to pick up a token of some sort for Captain Rogers."

Steven wasn't following. "Because we missed his birthday?"

"Because he suggested I take you to Greece," Watts replied.

Would Steven have still had the same epiphany anywhere else? Perhaps. But that didn't matter, because he had had it here.

"Oh!" Steven said as he realized. "Yes, agreed. A gift of some sort as well, perhaps?"

"That's what I meant," Watts said. "A token, a gift, something tangible to express our thanks. Unless you meant a birthday gift in addition?" he checked.

"Right, no, sorry, I got confused," Steven said. "Brain's a bit of a muddle with all the excitement."

"Perfectly understandable," Watts said. "Especially when I was the one to veer unexpectedly to the left, topic wise."

Steven's excitement started to grow again. "We'll have to tell people. When we get home. We get to say we're married!"

"That we do," Watts nodded in agreement. "I am not announcing it over the airwaves if the squirrels track me down to read notes on Monday," he informed Steven. "I would much rather tell people in person."

[hasaknightjob]

"Be cheeky of them," Steven said. "Doing that on our honeymoon. But you're right, best to tell in person."

Steven looked thoughtful. "We should tell Marc first. But - I'd rather when we get home? Have all this for us? Is that all right?"

"Of course," Watts said. "He deserves to be the first to know, but as you say- this can just be for us."

[hasaknightjob]

"Wednesday night then?" Steven asked. "Not - not the minute we get home, but not too long after either? Otherwise we'll have to get up early to tell him Thursday. Earlier than I'd have to for work regardless."

Steven grinned again. "I get to tell my boss I'm married!"

And other people too but odds were high Blathers would be the first Steven ran into.
