With their anniversary celebration coming up and all that would entail, Watts and Steven had opted for a quiet night at home for their date night this week.

Hence the popcorn and colas out on the table, with one of the many streaming services they subscribe to pulled up on the television.

"Any sort of picture you're in a particular mood for?" Watts asked Steven.

"I like making things," Watts said. "Furthermore, enjoy when I make them with you. It'd be nice if the end product was also enjoyable to eat."

"I'll keep an eye out," Steven suggested. "If not that, then maybe something else that's new that we can try."

"Actually, you know, you've given me a wonderful idea," Watts told him.

"What's that?" Steven asked, looking at him with interest.

"How would you feel about taking a cooking class during our holiday?" Watts asked.

"I'd love to!" Steven said without hesitation.

"Wonderful!" Watts beamed at him. "I'll arrange it, then." A beat. "Er. Not right now."

"Good." Steven nestled in against Llewellyn. "Because right now I'm rather comfortable."

"Myself as well," Watts said, pressing a kiss to Steven's cheek. "My favourite place to be."

Well, second favourite. But his first was Steven's lap, so.

"Thank you for taking care it as well," Steven said. "I'm always grateful for how you plan our holidays."

"I enjoy it," Watts said. "The planning process, that is."

Steven turned enough to kiss Llewellyn on his cheek. "You're very good at it. Our trips are always wonderful."

"Even if there is not a large element of- spontaneity?" Watts checked.

[hasaknightjob]

"I think I create enough spontaneity for the both of us," Steven said with an attempt at a smile that didn't wholly make it. "Blackouts and all that."

Well, now Watts was going to lean in and kiss the corner of that not-quite-smile. "I'll always find you, darling."

"Thank you." Steven leaned in closer. "I'm sorry that I make you."

"You would do the same for me," Watts said. "You do, in fact, after a fashion."

Steven looked at him curiously. "You feel you get lost?"

"When I get- too focused." Obsessed. "You pull me out of it. Remind me that there are other things in the world."

[hasaknightjob]

"I see." Steven thought back to various times that had happened. "I suppose that is comparable, isn't it? Getting lost in our own heads one way or another."

"Another way in which we are well-matched," Watts noted.

[hasaknightjob]

"We should do something to celebrate that," Steven said, grinning up at Llewellyn to show he was joking. "Perhaps go on a holiday of some kind to mark all the years we've been together."

"We- Oh," Watts said, looking sheepish as the reason for Steven's smile dawned on him.

[hasaknightjob]

Steven turned just enough to give Llewellyn a kiss on the mouth. "I adore you, you know."

"Even when I do not immediately realize you're joking?"
