With their anniversary celebration coming up and all that would entail, Watts and Steven had opted for a quiet night at home for their date night this week.

Hence the popcorn and colas out on the table, with one of the many streaming services they subscribe to pulled up on the television.

"Any sort of picture you're in a particular mood for?" Watts asked Steven.

"Something cozy," Steven said. He helped himself to some popcorn. "Sweet."

"A romance story?" Watts suggested.

"With a happy ending," Steven agreed. "Two people who find each other and are better for it."

"How do we know if there's a happy ending?" Watts said, looking at the television speculatively. "Is there- can you filter for that?"

"Usually if it's classified as romance it should have one," Steven said. He thought about it. "Though avoid ones about autumn. That tends to be a sad season for some reason."

"Noted," Watts said, as he began flicking through the available options. The ones with autumn-themed titles did, indeed, seem to lean towards descriptions that promised a melancholy sort of story.

Steven offered a piece of popcorn to Llewellyn, since Llewellyn's hands were busy with the remote.

"You know I saw a video on the Youtube about making your own vegan cheese at home. Thought that could be a fun idea for us some day." Steven sighed. "Unfortunately turned out poorly. Man couldn't recommend it. Said better to buy vegan cheese at the shops."

Watts leaned over to take the offered popcorn, giving Steven's fingertips a kiss as he did so. His shoulders slumped slightly (well, slightly more) as Steven continued talking, expression shifting from interested to disappointed. "That's unfortunate," he commented.

Steven leaned against Llewellyn in turn. "Could've been the kit he used? If you're interested I could keep looking. Perhaps another one is better."

"I like making things," Watts said. "Furthermore, enjoy when I make them with you. It'd be nice if the end product was also enjoyable to eat."

"I'll keep an eye out," Steven suggested. "If not that, then maybe something else that's new that we can try."

"Actually, you know, you've given me a wonderful idea," Watts told him.

[hasaknightjob]

"What's that?" Steven asked, looking at him with interest.

[pocketpretzels]

"How would you feel about taking a cooking class during our holiday?" Watts asked.

[hasaknightjob]

"I'd love to!" Steven said without hesitation.

[pocketpretzels]

"Wonderful!" Watts beamed at him. "I'll arrange it, then." A beat. "Er. Not right now."

"Good." Steven nestled in against Llewellyn. "Because right now I'm rather comfortable."

"Myself as well," Watts said, pressing a kiss to Steven's cheek. "My favourite place to be."

Well, second favourite. But his first was Steven's lap, so.

"Thank you for taking care it as well," Steven said. "I'm always grateful for how you plan our holidays."

"I enjoy it," Watts said. "The planning process, that is."

[hasaknightjob]

Steven turned enough to kiss Llewellyn on his cheek. "You're very good at it. Our trips are always wonderful."

"Even if there is not a large element of- spontaneity?" Watts checked.

[hasaknightjob]

"I think I create enough spontaneity for the both of us," Steven said with an attempt at a smile that didn't wholly make it. "Blackouts and all that."

Well, now Watts was going to lean in and kiss the corner of that not-quite-smile. "I'll always find you, darling."

"Thank you." Steven leaned in closer. "I'm sorry that I make you."
