Sandals Royal Resort, Barbados, Saturday Afternoon

So it was possible Watts had gone a little overboard when booking their room in Barbados, but... it had a private pool! And a hot tub!

And, okay, 24/7 access to a butler which was something these two were likely not going to take much (if any) advantage of, but the deal because pretend money is fake anyway had been far too good to pass up, so... here they were, alone at last after having finished the check-in process and having their bags brought to the room.

"So," Watts asked. "What do you think?"

“Flirt,” Watts declared, pulling him in for a playful kiss.

Steven kissed back. "When better to flirt with my beau then when we're on romantic holiday?"

"A very good point," Watts declared, a certain lightness in his manner that had not been present in Fandom.

"Shall we enjoy our pool?" Steven asked. "Or was there something you wanted to do first?"

"Fix a drink to take out to the pool?" Watts suggested.

"I've no objections," Steven said. "I think spending time enjoying the amenities is just the thing."

"Still, suppose we ought to change first regardless," Watts said, having taken a step over to the in-room bar only to realise perhaps it would be better to change into a swimming costume lest he get distracted.

"Good idea," Steven said. He went to his suitcase to do just that. "Be better for the warm weather regardless."

"Very true," Watts said, likewise going to his own suitcase.

Or more accurately, dumping the contents on to the bed so that he could rummage through them to find his swim costume.

It wasn't as though Steven's things were neatly folded. Just the one outfit tucked safely into the bottom in case Marc needed to make an appearance. But Steven rummaged around in his bag instead, preferring to know that at least his clothes were all in one place.

"I wonder if we can get meals delivered to the pool?" Steven said. He pulled off his shirt. "Or the room, I suppose. Could eat them wherever we like in here."

Watts nodded. "We can have meals delivered at any hour," he said. "Theoretically, we could spend our entire holiday in here."

Not that they would, because Watts had arranged several activities and there was also a proper beach for lounging just steps away, but they could.

Tomorrow was snorkeling! Steven was looking forward to that.

"That might come in handy," Steven said, thinking ahead to one day in particular when going out might not appeal. He shook it off, not wanting to dwell when they were only just arrived. "I say let's enjoy and get a feel for the place."

"I'm already enjoying myself," Watts admitted, giving his shirtless beau an appreciative look.

Steven was oblivious, too busy looking around at all the features of the room he could see from where he stood. "It's very comfortable. Air conditioning isn't too cold."

"Wouldn't do to catch a chill," Watts mused, his own shirt- and waistcoat, and undershirt- having been discarded in the meantime. "I suppose that's one thing winter weather does have, though. The need to be... close together, for warmth." Was he pulling Steven in close again even so? Yes, yes he was.

Steven smiled, happily being drawn closer. He wrapped his arms around Llewellyn's shoulders. "Oh dear. Have to be close just because we like it then, won't we?"

"Nothing wrong with that," Watts agreed.

"Good." Steven gave him a kiss. "Because I believe being close to you was one of the items on this week's agenda. An important one."

"I certainly don't plan on letting you wander very far," Watts agreed.

"Is that so?" Steven grinned and very lightly tried to see if he could step away.

"That is so," Watts said, gently pulling Steven back towards him.

Steven laughed, pleased, as that was exactly the reaction he was hoping for. "Brilliant. I've no desire to be far."

"Glad to hear it," Watts said. "Though we remain," and the fingers of one hand touched lightly to the waistband of Steven's trousers, not actually slipping under, "woefully overdressed for a dip in the pool, I'm afraid."

Steven shivered as Llewellyn touched sensitive skin. But not in a bad way. "We should probably fix that. Can't have your clothes getting ruined."

"It will mean letting go," Watts said. "Though I suppose there's only so much time we can spend this close."
