Watts and Steven had arrived at their hotel, unpacked, and then promptly headed out with a basket of cold drinks and snacks to spend some time on the beach. Which was literally right outside their door.

"Oh, this is perfect," Watts said with a contented sigh as he took in the view.

"Yeah?" Steven asked. He looked Llewellyn over as though he might be able to see the warmth and sunshine benefitting him. "Hits the spot?"

Watts always carried a certain amount of tension in his posture, but some of that was just gone now, so yeah, Steven probably could see those benefits.

"It does," he affirmed, unfurling the beach blanket and starting to spread it out.

"Wonderful!" Steven reached for the other corners of the blanket so he could help Llewellyn get it into place. "It all looks lovely."

"Thank you," Watts said, not for the first time since they'd started planning this trip. "For- being amenable to the destination."

"Of course," Steven said. He made sure the cooler with their drinks was in easy reach. "Our room is lovely, the view is amazing - no problems that I can see."

"I am rather enchanted with the view," Watts agreed, his gaze unmistakably on Steven.

Steven chuckled. "Cheeky. Here, let me make sure you've enough cream on."

Overprotective? Maybe. Steven was going to do it anyway.

"You'll let me do your back after?"

Magic healing suit or no, best to avoid having to use it for frivolous purposes.

Now it was Steven's turn for a warm look. "Yes, please?"

"Excellent," Watts said, folding himself down on to the blanket and then patting the spot next to him in an invitation for Steven to do the same.

Steven did so, scooting in close so it was easy for him to touch Llewellyn. "To think, we've an entire week ahead of us."

"Mmm," Watts hummed contentedly. "An entire week of you and the beach. Sounds perfect."

There would also be museums and restaurants, because this was them.

"An entire week of you, sounds perfect," Steven replied with a grin.

Yes, he had Llewellyn at home. But luckily for Steven Llewellyn at home was just as wonderful and amazing as Llewellyn on holiday.

"Charmer," Watts said fondly. But as far as Watts was concerned, Steven's response illustrated perfectly why Watts was grateful that he'd been on board with their destination, since Steven didn't seem to need the sun and warmth the same way Watts himself did.

Steven put cream on his hands, rubbing them together to warm it up a little before moving to Llewellyn's shoulders. "Charming and a flirt? I'm doing well it sounds like."

"Exceptionally so," Watts said with a smirk, even though their positions meant Steven couldn't see it.

Steven massaged the sunscreen into Llewellyn's skin, making sure to get him good and covered. That this allowed him to touch all of Llewellyn's bare skin along the way was a mere bonus, of course.

"I must be, if you're willing to spend your entire holiday with me."

"Eager to, my darling. Not merely willing."

Steven looked thoughtful, not that Llewellyn could see that given their position. "You know, we've never done a holiday where we parted ways for a bit, I don't think? One of us doing an activity the other didn't care for."

Watts stilled. "Would you want to?" he asked.

For all his talk of being all right with time apart, he found himself strangely averse to the idea in this moment.

"No," Steven admitted. "Maybe if you wanted to go somewhere and I was feeling tired or poorly? So you didn't have to miss out on my account?"

Watts relaxed again. "I think I would still want to stay and take care of you," he admitted. "Excursions can be rescheduled, but I've only the one husband."

Steven leaned forward so Llewellyn could see his grin, even as he said, "You'd better. I'm rather possessive."

"One of the many things I like about you," Watts replied.

[hasaknightjob]

"Good thing, as I'm not inclined to stop," Steven said. He moved on to covering Llewellyn's arms.
