Yesterday had involved trying an activity new to both Watts and Steven: snorkeling. They’d had a wonderful time, swimming around and spotting all sorts of tropical fish and other creatures.

Today was a much more relaxed sort of day, spent for the most part lounging on the beach. At least until late afternoon, when it was time to head back to the hotel room and start getting ready for dinner. Which was, as far as Steven knew, at one of the many restaurants on the property.

Well, he was… partially right? The food would be from one of those restaurants but the location was a private gazebo on a small pier. Not that Watts was giving that away just yet, instead asking Steven if he’d mind taking a short walk along the shoreline before dinner.

"New suit, I think?" Steven said. "For a nice dinner?"

“Oh, absolutely,” Watts said. “The perfect inaugural use.”

"Excellent." Steven went to put it on. Being linen, it was already wrinkled before he touched it. "Will you wear yours? So we can match?"

Yes, but wrinkles meant an excuse for Watts to reach over and attempt to smooth them out, however futile such efforts may be.

“Of course,” Watts said, already selecting the red and gold tie he’d purchased to go along with said new suit.

"We'll make a smart pair," Steven said. "We'll have to ask someone to take a photo of us."

“An excellent idea,” Watts agreed. “I’m sure one of the waitstaff will be willing to oblige.”

Or their butler, perhaps. Since there would be only the single waiter at their dinner location.

"Excellent," Steven said, unaware that anything might be not as he expected. He fiddled with his tie, trying to get it to knot properly.

“Let me, darling,” Watts said, already reaching to fix said tie.

Steven held still. He looked at Llewellyn with great affection. "Thank you, love. Can't get the ends where I want them."

“As with anything, it comes with practice,” Watts said, leaning over to press a quick kiss to Steven’s cheek as he finished up. “I simply have more of it.” Since he wore a tie every day and all.

"Have to admit I like when you do it," Steven said. He grinned. "Not just because it means you're stood near to me."

“I do enjoy any excuse I can get to have my hands on you,” Watts said shamelessly.

"I enjoy any excuse to let you," Steven replied in kind. "Especially when I get to enjoy this view."

“Flirt,” Watts said fondly. “My flirt,” he added, after a moment.

"Entirely yours," Steven said. "For flirting and anything else."

“Like so?” Watts asked, pulling him in for a kiss.

Steven gave a happy hum as he kissed back. "Very like so. Glad we're keeping to making sure those are always on the agenda."

“Any time,” Watts said. “Except when we need to focus on applying sunscreen,” he added with a grin. “Though of course those can be collected after the fact.”

"In fact that's a requirement," Steven said. He demonstrated by leaning up to sneak a quick kiss.

“I am entirely amenable to that,” Watts replied.

"Good," Steven said. He took that as a cue to give Llewellyn another kiss.

See, this is why you account for time spent kissing when making romantic plans, because by Watts’s calculations they were right on schedule.

Llewellyn's foresight in these matters was one of the many reasons why Steven loved him. Because seeing his beau in his handsome new suit meant there needed to be more kisses.

“I love you, you know,” Watts murmured in between one of those kisses. “A great deal.”

"I love you too," Steven said. He bumped their noses together. "I love that you always know how to fix my tie."
