MHA #15, Saturday Evening

Saturdays, Watts was finding, were settling in to a really nice routine: he and Steven woke up early (okay, that part was less nice) in order to attend services on the mainland, sometimes with sticking around after for coffee and a bit of socialising. Then it was off to lunch at a nearby restaurant, followed by shopping for whatever it was they'd decided to try making for dinner that night. Which today had been tomato soup, in order to use up the tomatoes that Watts had kind of mangled in his efforts at making lunch on Thursday. Yes, the weather was on the warm side, but it was kind of drizzly, so still soup-appropriate.

So now the two of them were curled up on the couch with a roaring fireplace (heat turned down, because again, warm-ish weather), bowls of soup, and fresh-baked bread for dipping in said soup. Also a cat searching for an optimal place to settle down on the couch as well, a small piece of bread dangling from his mouth.
